welcome to the BIG AIR Klagenfurt FIS WORLD CUP contest. We are looking forward to seeing you in Klagenfurt for some unforgetable World Cup days!



The Big Air Klagenfurt is located in the capital city of Kärnten. It is well known worldwide for the Ironman Austria / Klagenfurt and a lot of other big sport & music events. For further information about Klagenfurt / Kärnten please go to:

An international music line up is also part of this event on both days. Merging with what naturally belongs together – freestyle sports and great music.

Initiator is the local Austrian event company, Limited Events together with the Austrian Ski Federation. For planning and running the World Cup contest, the organizer has engaged an experienced team.



Teams are responsible for their own transportation to and from Klagenfurt. It is very easy to get to Klagenfurt from anywhere in Europe, by public transport, car or plane.

By public transportation: Klagenfurt is a main terminal station of the ÖBB and has excellent connections to a lot major European cities. Timetables are available on:

By car: Klagenfurt is in the south of Austria. If you are coming from Vienna, follow the highway A2, if you are coming from Germany follow the highway A10. Also Slovenia and Italy is very near to Klagenfurt. Use the route planner for the shortest and fastest route before departure.

By plane: Only 10min away from the venue we have the Klagenfurt airport and there are also a number of airports around Klagenfurt, e.g. Ljubljana, Graz, Trieste, Salzburg. From all this airports you can travel to Klagenfurt by public transportation.

All teams and athletes are responsible for their own accommodation and meals.



Team registrations & fee payments will take place at the RIDERS & ACCREDITATION OFFICE at the event venue. The fee is CHF 80 per rider. Please note that only credit cards or other electronical payments are accepted, preferably Mastercard, Visa or EC Maestro (no American Express).

THU Januar 02 08am – 10pm 2nd traning day
FRI Januar 03 08am – 10pm Freeski & Snowboard Women Quals
SAT Januar 04 08am – 10pm Freeski Men Quals, Finals Men & Women
SUN Januar 05 08am – 10pm Snowboard Men Quals, Finals Men & Women



All competitors must wear bibs appropriately during all scheduled trainings, competition & at the awards ceremony. Bibs will be distributed at the 1st Team Captains Meeting, held the night prior to the 1st training. Competitors keep their bibs throughout the event. A deposit of € 20,- per bib will be required in cash or by card at the first team captains meeting.



The official notice board for teams and riders is virtual, i.e. the WhatsApp chat group installed and run by the competition directors.



Daily Team Captain Meetings are planned at the event venue. If, other than expected,

there will be an online setup for attending the TC meeting virtually.

All athletes, officials & members of National Associations who attend & participate in the event shall do so at their own risk, competitors must have their own medical insurance. The Organizing Committee, sponsors, suppliers, their agents, employees & volunteers, the FIS & the Austrian Ski Federation decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged or lost equipment & second & third party claims in connection with the event.

All athletes & team members shall be required to sign a Liability Disclaimer as well as a Media Disclaimer before receiving access to the event, this is processed at the RIDERS & ACCREDITATION OFFICE.



Anti-doping control may be conducted for this event.

At all times during trainings & contests there is a dedicated medical crew onsite, including an onsite stationed ambulance. The accident hospital (UKH) in Klagenfurt is less than 4km away. There is also a second hospital in the city (Klinikum Klagenfurt) only 6km away from the stadium.
